New beta video of Dragon Valley. This is a full playthrough with both acts. The only thing that's left to do, really, is replace the Robotnik signpost.

Footage showing the first act of Relic Maze 1.
This shows about half of Relic Maze Act 1, along with some of the changes that have taken place since the last video. Of particular note is the new shield system; Collecting 5 of the keystones that robots drop will reward you with a specific type of shield, depending on the color keystone you have the most of. There are five different shields: Wood (the pink rose one), Earth, Water, Fire, and Metal.

So, I finally wrapped up the second round of voice acting auditions. I now have a total of 10 unique voice actors, which is more than enough for the Story mode methinks.
I've put together a demo reel of the voice talent I recruited, in case anyone is interested.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the music being composed for Freedom Planet! I've been collaborating with two other musicians for this soundtrack: [Claire Ellis] from VGMusic and [Leila] from FurAffinity. For the most part, [Claire] and I compose the base melodies and [Leila] remasters them with her instruments.

Relic Maze, now with Lilac's dragon design, among other changes.
Whether good or bad, though, pretty much everyone has agreed that Lilac bears more than a passing resemblence to Sonic the Hedgehog in appearance. After taking a few steps back and giving myself time to think about what I really want for the game, I've decided that I myself was not entirely happy with her design either. So, I have decided to give her a makeover.

One of the final tracks, now in video form!
So my composer surprised me this morning with a remix of Dragon Valley's stage theme, and I think that it would be very fitting for Lilac's Treehouse. It's such a nice song that I think it would be a bummer if my watchers had to wait on it until the full version of the game... so, here it is!
Lilac's Treehouse will be one of several "hub" areas where the player can explore, save their game, buy upgrades, and other random things.

Er...
Interestingly shows off you could've switched Torque's weapons to whatever type, regardless of slot. This was probably changed for game balancing reasons.

Footage by Christian Whitehead posted in the RSDK Modding Discord, showing a prototype of Freedom Planet running in Retro Engine v4. This was originally created for the game's console ports, prior to the team finding out that Chowdren exists.
